You're all set to accept payments into your Your Financial Institution account with Tap to Pay on iPhone!
Good news! You can now accept in-person, contactless payments with Tap to Pay on iPhone.
You're all set to start accepting in-person payments via Tap to Pay on iPhone. That means your account is officially set up to accept credit card payments from Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express* -- all with a simple tap of a card or phone. No matter what payment method your customer attempts to pay with (physical debit and credit cards, Apple Pay or another digital wallet) you pay just 2.75%, and the money always lands directly in your Your Financial Institution account, typically in two business days.
Here are a few tips to keep in mind to help level up your in-person payment experience:
Tip #1: When your customer is getting ready to pay via Tap to Pay on iPhone, present the top of your phone to accept payment.
- If your customer is using Apple Pay or another digital wallet, they'll just need to hold their device near the top of your phone.
- The quickest way to accept a physical card payment is to ask your customer to hold their card horizontally directly over the top of your phone (it should only take a few seconds to trigger the payment).

Tip #2: If your customer is paying with a card, make sure it's enabled for contactless payments. It will have four curved lines that get bigger from left to right on the front or back of the card.
Tip #3: Download the Accept Payments by Autobooks iOS app. With the Accept Payments by Autobooks iOS app, you can quickly add multiple items to an order before getting paid with Tap to Pay on iPhone. No more manual price entry or extra math necessary — perfect for when you're setting up shop and can't afford to get logged out of online banking. Just log into online banking from your iPhone, access Autobooks and click Get the app on your dashboard to get started.
Tip #4: Make sure your customers know you accept cards and digital wallets. Printing this flyer and using it when you setup shop can help let your customers know that you're ready to accept payments without them needing to log into a third party payment app. .png?width=540&upscale=true&name=Tap_to_Pay_Payment_Flyer_from_Autobooks%20(1).png)
